cabinet of curiosities

There are many films that have influenced me and given me something which is why i like them so much ,such as the film Rashamon which is a 1950s kurosawa which is one of the best films ive ever seen non linear storlines used in,its storyline is so imaginative that u cant help but think about it.

Many old movies inspired me as they were at the forfront of the industry other films such as tokyo drifter1966 a suzuki film where its use of camera angles and colour intrigued me tht i had to but it and watch it again as in someparts is confusing to wat emotion is trying to be displayed. but its strong storyline and interesting narrative makes it a classic.

I will finally mention one other that has inspired many others such as quentin tarantino and the director of the dirty dozen ,this is a film named the seven samurai which as far as mexican standoffs this is influential ,influences are told to be seen even in the gd the bad and the ugly.

this film on the other hand is a representation of what i dnt like in the media which is pretentiousness in movies they make a movie/remake a movie but do it in an experimental way and abstract which gets it well known and because its so different it isnt seen as bad but as breaking the boundries and brilliant the same can be said about some of tarantinos work.Alice is a film that give it its due does test the boundries of the so called norm but if watched you will understand my feelings on the matter.

 

My music interests are wide spread i do enjoy all music and do get inspired mainly by good lyrics that have meaning behind themsuch as kenny rogers the gambler,eminems work and guns and roses as i found that these inspired me more because they have alot of passion behind them in all there different ways.these songs inspired me wen making my own music videos for other courses as they are easily illustrateablebecause of the detail that is used i there songs.

This is a large part of media ,especilly in todays societies ,if u dont have a social site link to the world then u dnt exist.I like these sites because it taught me more about the internet and how to use some attachments and exetra.I think that this applies to many others because its away of accessing songs ,art ,movies and experts/celebraties that you wouldnt have access to otherwise.as i use all three as well as others as a way broadening my understanding of more areas of the media that i can explore.

Books are one of the oldest forms of publication and media so when putting together a cabinet of media that i enjoy i thought that it be important to show my thoughts..i had to involve the count of monte cristo because its a classic and the film adaptation is one of the best that ive seen .The same can be said for interview with a vampire as the book is such a good thriller and the movie adaptation was an instant classic.the books that i have chosen have all been adapted into movies which is one part i do and dont agree with.movie addaptations can go either way ,but in my opinion nothing will ever beat the book down to the descriptive text and the fact  and your imagination will always be diffferent to that chosen producer or director
